Here's what he had to say:
What do you as an artist stand for?I believe in interdependence. We depend on eachother as far as we depend on ourselves. We can work together to survive and to thrive. We can stand unified in the celebration of our diversity - although different, we are all connected somehow and in some way. Everything you do makes a difference in the world. Big or small, it keeps rippling through time. |
What's your most memorable experience/highlight as an artist to date? There are many stories throughout my brief art life journey that I enjoy sharing and I have travelled the world doing what I am passionate about. I just always believed it was possible. However, to pinpoint a time I felt was most memorable, I would have to say; no other time than right now! It is a critical, profound time to be alive on this planet - when the survival of our human species and many other animal species is in in our hands. The contemporary artist speaks the language of the time - right now! |
You often paint with your fingers. Why?Sometimes I just want to touch the paint with my hands and feel connected to it. It is a kind of sensual experience one may have enjoyed playing with mud as a kid. Just another form of playing with imagination. |
